Unique Fabrics :: Unique Event

On March 31 and April 1, I will be showing my lampwork beads at Stashfest in LaConner, WA.  In addition to my usual work, I am creating a special collection for the show.  I don't usually sell my work at shows, so this will be an oppoortunity to see some of my beads in person.  I would love to see you there!

Gaches MansionThis event is a fundraiser for the LaConner Quilt and Textile Museum in the historic Gaches mansion in LaConner, WA.  This show will benefit the Museum, which offers lots of interesting quilting shows and textile events in its historic building.  

The presenters are mainly textile people, so I am honored to be the only beadmaker at the show. Take a look at the Stashfest website to see a list of participants.  There are going to be some fantastic handprinted and imported fabrics to provide great spring inspiration.

That weekend is also the beginning of the tulip festival in Northwest Washington, so there are many things to do in the area.  Bring your bike and ride through the tulip fields or take a short excursion to Edison, WA just a few miles away to visit Slough Food,  the excellent Smith and Vallee Gallery, which shows the work of regional artists, the always interesting Shop Curator, and several great restaurants featuring the abundance of local cheese, meats and produce of Skagit and Whatcom County.
